Rosebud’s: Where Friendship and Creativity Blossom

Giving Back and Community Outreach
Rosebud’s mantra is giving back. We have a unique sharing area where quilters can donate books, 100% cotton fabrics, tools and magazines for new quilters. Anyone working on a sharing quilt can access these donated fabrics, and youth are encouraged try out quilting using items from the sharing closet.

We collect quilts for local veterans and foster kids, as well as donate to Toys for Tots. The oldest veteran we’ve gifted a quilt to was 104 years old and served in WWII. He was deeply touched, cried, and shared moving stories.

Clubs, Events, and Shared Creativity
Our community features a special featherweight club called the “Jitterbugs,” where featherweight owners and hand-crank machine enthusiasts can sew together all day.

Rosebud’s also has a civil war club where members get together to make various items using reproduction Civil War fabrics.
In October, we’re sponsoring our 2nd Annual Bra Art Auction. Anyone can donate a decorated bra (psst–we get male models!). It’s a fun event that raised several thousand dollars last year. Date: October 21, 2025 7p-9p. All entries due by October 10 at the quilt shop.

Every Friday, we host a free Open Sew, providing a space for customers to work on their projects with help available. We also welcome groups and guilds to use our classroom. Open Sew is a great way for quilters to socialize while creating.

Fabric Selection and Learning Opportunities
Rosebud’s is known for our extensive fabric selection—often called “Wide Back Heaven”—with over 600 backings ranging from 108” to 118”.

We offer classes and recently purchased a beautiful longarm, which will soon be available for service and rental that will be in our new classroom for free motion quilting.

Why the yellow rose? Yellow roses symbolize friendship. Owners Laura-Jean and Tammy believe quilting has helped them forge many wonderful friendships. They look forward to meeting each one of you, as well as Ms. Rosebud. Together Laura-Jean and Tammy bring over 100 years of quilting experience.
